Joy October 31, 2009

Lord, give us Joy, that Joy that no man, no poverty, no circumstances, no conditions can take from us.

You shall have My Joy. But Life just now for you both is a march- a toilsome march… The Joy will come, but for the moment do not think of that, think simply of the march. Joy is the reward…

Between My Promise of the Gift of Joy to my disciples and their realization of that Joy came sense of failure, disappointment, denial, desertion, hopelessness, then hope, waiting, and courage in the face of danger.

Joy is the reward of patiently seeing Me in the dull dark days, of trusting when you cannot see… Joy is as it were your heart’s response to My smile of recognition of your faithfulness…

Stop thinking your lives are all wrong if you do not feel it… Remember you may not yet be joyous, but you are brave, and courage and unselfish though for others are as sure signs of true discipleship as Joy.

• I think when we ask the Lord to give us patience, He gives us the OPPORTUNITY to be patient again.
• When we ask the Lord to give us strength, He gives us an OPPORTUNITY to be strong.
• When we ask the Lord for wisdom, He gives us another OPPORTUNITY to choose the right path.
• When we ask the Lord for boldness, He gives us the OPPORTUNITY to step outside our comfort zone.
• When we ask the Lord for faith, He gives us the OPPORTUNITY to jump.
• When we ask the Lord for peace, He gives us the OPPORTUNITY to rest in Him.
• When we ask for guidance, He gives us an OPPORTUNITY to walk through another open door.

Our daddy is in love with us. He will come through for us.

You don’t have to grow up, you just have to grow old.. October 9, 2009

 

Each day brings something new for me to learn.

I have parents who love me dearly and I am beyond blessed to have such Godly, humble, selfless parents to love me and raise me. I thank the Lord for them although there have been many times I have failed them and not shown my love to them, they have shaped me to be the woman I am and am still becomming.

I am going to marry the man of my dreams!! There is no one else here on earth that I would rather spend the rest of my life with. Josh has taught me many, many things about life and love and he is a living testimony to what the Lord can do with your life if you allow Him! He is super patient (even though he is always asking for me to pray for him to have more patience..) he is wise and loyal not only to me but to all of his friends. He is a great leader and will always keep you laughing. He has a lion heart and stands out in a crowd because of his boldness and willingness to be real with others. Needless to say, I am SO HAPPY that this man will one day be my husband. We are growing closer to each other and with the Lord every day and are blessed to have such wise mentors to help us along the way. 

I’m working full time at the dentist with Dr. Ben Daniel! Everyone I work with is great and we all get a long and work well together as a team. I enjoy working there and besides the mornings I have to be there super early.. I never dread going to work. It is a strange feeling knowing that this is my real job and that this is it for now. The other day I mentioned that I would be able to go to the gym more in the summer because I would have more time, that is.. until I stopped myself mid sentence and realized that, I DON’T HAVE SUMMERS ANYMORE!! hmm.. That made me sad…but hey, this is growing up!

I’m blessed! God is my rock and fortress forever.

I’m excited about what is to come.

I give you my heart, for it’s all I have to give October 9, 2009

The Lord has captivated my heart once again and never fails to show me His goodness in all He does. Over and over He proves himself faithful. He is giving me dreams and unleashing in me a fragrance of freedom and boldness to trust Him though whatever may come. He is so much greater than ANY problem I will ever face in my small lifetime. And I believe if we remember that, He will come through for us. God is so good.. It baffles me how man can look at the stars, watch a snowflake fall, pick a colorful flower, enjoy the different seasons, see a sunset, look out into the ocean or watch a bird fly, and think something other than God created such beauty..

I have such a desire to share with others the love of Christ. Especially young people.. I really have a heart for them. When their hormones are raging and they think their life sucks, I want for them to know how REAL God is and that He created them with a divine, specific purpose and that He sees them as holy and that they don’t have to continue living in such pain and brokeness!

In short, there has been a lot on my heart. If only I could put it all into words.
